True Love

Mood saya lagi cinta-cintaan niy. Hehehe… Patah hati ternyata bisa jadi katalisator yang terbaik untuk membuat kita merenung dan berpikir.   

If you ask me is there any true love exist in this word, I will optimistically say YES.  

However, true love doesn’t mean you will do no wrong. It does not impose that it is perfect. We humans can fall and rise, and fall again.  

My version of true love is that even though there are times you hurt and lie and cheat and ignore, you NEVER forget of trying as BEST as you can to fulfill below definition: 

 

The Formula of Love

I read somewhere in the prologue of a book which title I forget, someone formulized love like this:

“Love is Passion, Admiration, and Respect.”

I am not a philosophical person, and I never really tried to make my version of love’s formula. But if I ever found the most right definition of love (for me), I think this is it.

 

The Beauty of Friendship

Sekitar 2 minggu lalu seorang teman meneleponku. Temanku ini sudah kukenal sejak SD, tapi baru di kelas 2 SMP kami kenal baik dan menjadi dekat. Kelas 2 SMP itu berarti 12 tahun yang lalu. Aku bahkan baru menyadari, ternyata 12 tahun sudah kami bersama2 dan jadi sahabat.  

Waktu dia meneleponku 2 minggu yang lalu, aku kaget mendengar kata-katanya. Dia bernostalgia sebentar, mengingat waktu2 berkesan yang kami sama2 lewati. Dia juga menyinggung beberapa tentang hal2 yang udah kulakukan untuknya, peranku dalam beberapa peristiwa penting dalam hidupnya.

 

Loneliness

Minggu lalu saya ikut retreat pemuda yang diadakan oleh Komisi Pemuda GII (Gereja Injili Indonesia) Hok Im Tong. Retreat pertama yang saya ikuti sejak retreat terakhir waktu kelas 2 SMP dulu. Hehehe… That was 13 years ago!

Tema retreat yang tidak biasalah yang sebenarnya jadi penarik hati saya untuk mengikuti retreat ini (selain bujukan maut dari temen baikku Nova hehe…). Entah kenapa Komisi Pemuda GII mengambil “Loneliness” sebagai tema retreat. I mean, that was so hip! J Biasanya kan retreat2 itu membahas hal2 yang lebih spiritual dan alkitabiah, misalnya Melayani, Memenangkan Jiwa, Kenapa Dia Disebut Juruselamat, dll. Not that I wouldn’t be attracted if those were the themes of retreat (bela diri dot com).
